Are You Looking For A Defensive Driving Course in Henry County?

The Driver Improvement or most commonly known as the Defensive Driving is a 6-hour course designed to teach drivers about safe driving attitudes and behaviors. It is a program geared toward safety education for licensed drivers of any age. The course concentrates on traffic laws, rules and regulations and defensive driving techniques.  With the Driver Improvement course, students learn to improve their driving skills.  The student learns to anticipate situations and actions of other drivers and to make safe well-informed decisions.
Individual circumstances may require a person to enroll in a Defensive Driving course. The most common reason that students take a Defensive Driving course are: Court ordered, point reduction, reinstatement of driving privileges, prevent suspension of license for under age 21 drivers who have accrued 4 or more points, reduce fines,  insurance reduction and reduce risks of employees driving company cars.
Georgia state law sets the fee for the 6-hour Defensive Driving course.  The fee is $95.00 for anything pertaining to court or the persons driving record through the Georgia Department of Driver Services.  The course fee will vary for students taking the class for insurance reduction.  This fee is not set by Georgia state law but by the individual Driver Improvement Clinic or schools. Drivers should check with their insurance company to see if they or their family members would be eligible for the reduction prior to taking the course.  Defensive Driving Courses are offered in Henry County, GA.  The list of certified Driver Improvement Clinics can be found on the Georgia Department of Driver Services website.
